In diesem Programm von DANCE ON SCREEN 2021 gibt es zwei grossartige und aufschlussreiche Dokumentationen von 10 und 17 Minuten zu sehen, die Sie entführen in die Welt eines tanzenden Sandwichmachers mit einer Schwäche für Meditation sowie in die ebenso getanzte wie portugiesische Sicht auf Canning Town London.
Darüber hinaus bietet DOCS & SHORTS – MIX auch zwei <20 Minuten – Kurzfilme, wovon der eine versucht, die sonderbare Art von Erwachsenen aus der Sicht eines jungen Mädchens zu enträtseln; während der andere Kurzfilm sich mit den noch stets spürbaren Schwingungen eines verlassenen alten Gefängnisses beschäftigt, das seine Geschichten von Grausamkeit, Krieg und Machtspielen immer aufs Neue preisgibt.
Am 17. Mai gibt es am Ende des Filmprogramms bei ZÜRICH TANZT ein live-Interview mit einem der Filmemacher*innen aus dem Programm DOCS & SHORTS – MIX.
Am Ende des ‘on demand’ – Filmprogramms gibt es zusätzlich ein q&a-Gespräch zum Genre Tanzfilm mit Stephan Henz (Leitung Arthouse Kinos, Zürich), Martine Dekker (Dir. CinedansFEST, Amsterdam) und Andrea Maciel (Tanzfilm-Regisseurin, Choreografin); moderiert von Andrea Boll (künstl. Dir. DANCE ON SCREEN – bollwerkfilm, Tanzfilm-Regissurin, Choreografin bollwerk).

In this slot of DANCE ON SCREEN 2021 you get to see two great and illuminating documentaries of 10 and 17 min, that kidnap you into the world of a dancing sandwich maker with a weakness for meditation and into a danced Portugees view on Canning Town London.
Furthermore this slot offers two < 20min – shorts of which one attempts to unravel the weirdness of adults form a young girl’s point of view; while the other film digs into the vibrations of an abandoned ancient prison that keeps telling it’s stories of cruelness, war and power games.
On May 17th, at the end of the film program at ZÜRICH TANZT, there will be a live interview with one of the filmmakers from the DOCS & SHORTS – MIX program.
At the end of the on demand – film program there will be a Q&A – talk on the dance film genre, with Stephan Henz (director of Arthouse Kinos, Zürich), Martine Dekker (dir. CinedansFEST, Amsterdam) and Andrea Maciel (dance film director, choreographer); moderated by Andrea Boll (artistic director DANCE ON SCREEN – bollwerk film, dance film director, choreographer bollwerk).
