SHORTS 1 – INNER STATES OF QUIET TURBULENCE︱ 46′
Seven powerful short dance films, featuring female protagonists and/or women makers, explore experiences from different parts of the world, each told through a distinct voice. Questions of identity unfold through personal and emotional landscapes, seen from multiple viewpoints.
By breaking routine and expectation, these works invite us into spiraling journeys of connection, introspection, and honest states of consciousness.

SHORTS 2 – SENSING BODIES I
A first kiss is not always easy. Bellies do communicate. This programme explores openness, fragility, desire, and anxiety, asking: How can we truly connect with ourselves and others?
Eight dance films turn every gesture into a crisp statement of presence, celebrating the beauty of being alive in the moment through movement and emotion.

SHORTS 3 – CAPTIVATING & TROUBLING
Four powerful film statements — as magnetic as they are unsettling — unfold between transience, polycultural sensibilities, spiralling reflections on identity, politics and a deadly tango.
Featuring longer short films and award-winning works such as the Swiss production DÉJÀ NU! by Rolf Hellat, the Belgian film TWO TO TANGO, along with MISFIT from the US, and the contemporary dance jewel PARADES by Alan Lake, this programme forms a dynamic and demanding slot for dance and film lovers with stamina and strong nerves.

SHORTS 4 – WALTZING ON UNSTEADY GROUND
Imagine snow is history. Seven short dance films take the audience on a journey from the inner pursuits of individuals to the world they inhabit. Through the swirling motion of a waltz, through memory, momentum, and landscapes fracturing under climate grief and nostalgic desire that swell like a sail. Every movement, every pause, reflects the tension between our interior lives and the shifting, impermanent world we inhabit.
What remains of safety when everything is thrown off balance?
Dance as protest, resistance, and a practice of hope — a way to navigate uncertainty and stay present in the moment.
