RATERS 2026

All films submitted to DANCE ON SCREEN (DOS) through our open calls are reviewed by experts from the worlds of dance and film. Based in Switzerland and connected internationally, DOS draws on an international network of professionals in filmmaking, choreography, dance, immersive formats, broadcasting, media,
and music for dance and film.

This network also includes artists whose works have previously been presented within DOS programs.

At DANCE ON SCREEN, we believe dance film is more than a genre — it is a language. A space where bodies think, images move, and stories resonate beyond borders. We curate programs that embrace diverse artistic perspectives and varied approaches to dance and filmmaking, bringing together voices from around the world. Our selection process is guided by artistic quality, clarity of vision, and contextual awareness, while fostering exchange, dialogue, and meaningful connection
within the international dance film community.

PRE-SELECTION
Films that meet our guidelines are carefully viewed and independently
rated by our expert panel.

FINAL SELECTION
Based on these ratings and the respective screening context, the DOS team curates the final programme — together with a selection of films curated on an ongoing basis in collaboration with our partners.
