DANCE ON SCREEN 2025

DANCE ON SCREEN 2025 präsentiert drei neue SHORTS – Programme mit Schweizer und internationalen kurzen Tanzfilmen, die das Weltgeschehen mit verschiedenen Tanzkulturen und persönlichen Erfahrungen beleuchten und durch Tanz überzeugen, wo Worte versagen.

Vom 14. – 18. Mai sind SHORTS 1 – RESILIENCE & REVELATIONS und SHORTS 2 – POWERFULLY VULNERABLE in mehreren Schweizer Städten und Kinos während dem Tanzfest zu sehen.

In der Kategorie FEATURES & DOCS überzeugt die fesselnde kanadisch-haitiosche Doku KITE ZO A: LEAVE THE BONES von Regisseur Kaveh Nabatian, die von Massenaufstand gegen die Sklaverei und der Geburt Haitis erzählt. Dieser Film ist im Mai während dem Tessiner Festa Danzante in Mendrisio zu sehen und im Herbst bei ARTHOUSE KINOS in Zürich zusammen mit dem dritten SHORTS – Programm.

Wenn Tanz auf Film trifft, gewinnen der Ausdruck und die Emotionen des Körpers an Intensität. Wir freuen uns wiederum eine breite Palette von Werken aus aller Welt zu zeigen, die inspirieren, herausfordern und bezaubern und bedanken uns bei den Tanzfilmmacher*innen und ihren Teams, unsern Partnern und Unterstützer*innen!

DANCE ON SCREEN 2025 wird in Kollaboration mit CinedansFEST Amsterdam und in Veranstaltungspartnerschaft mit Reso Tanznetzwerk Schweiz / TANZFEST SCHWEIZ und für die Herbstausgabe mit ARTHOUSE KINOS, Zürich umgesetzt. 

DANCE ON SCREEN 2025

DANCE ON SCREEN 2025 presents three new SHORTS programmes with Swiss and international short dance films that illuminate world events with different dance cultures and personal experiences and convince with dance where words fail.

From 14 to 18 May, SHORTS 1 – RESILIENCE & REVELATIONS and SHORTS 2 – POWERFULLY VULNERABLE will be shown in several Swiss cities and cinemas during Tanzfest Schweiz.

In the FEATURES & DOCS category, the captivating Canadian-Haitian documentary KITE ZO A: LEAVE THE BONES by director Kaveh Nabatian tells the story a mass uprising against slavery and the birth of Haiti. This film can be seen in May during the Ticino Festa Danzante in Mendrisio and in autumn at ARTHOUSE KINOS in Zurich together with the third SHORTS – program.

When dance meets film, the expression and emotions of the body gain in intensity. We are once again delighted to show a wide range of works from all over the world that inspire, challenge and enchant and would like to thank the dance filmmakers and their teams for those wonderful films, as well as our partners and supporters!

DANCE ON SCREEN 2025 is realized in collaboration with CinedansFEST Amsterdam and in partnership with Reso Tanznetzwerk Schweiz / TANZFEST SCHWEIZ and for the autumn edition with ARTHOUSE KINOS, Zurich.
